1. When the toner in the cartridge is near the end there will be a message ‘TONER NEAR END”, And when the toner is completely empty there will be a message “ TONER EMPTY REPLACE”  





2. After refilling the new cartridge put the card as shown on the picture , see photo (2)





3. There will be a message: “CHANGE TONEER?”, YES=OK—NO=C


4. Press OK and there will be a message: OPEN FRONT COVER, REPLACE TONER







5. Insert the cartridge as shown on the picture, see photo (3)












6. Close the front cover and there will be a message: HAVE YOU CHANGED THE TONER? <OK> see photo (4)





7. Press OK and wait unit the new cartridge is initialized and after viewing the message: REMOVE CARD” please remove the card.

Please use thte card for a new cycle after the toner is completely empty.

1. About Samsung toner chip.

Now there are different quality Samsung toner chips in market: some kinds of green color Samsung chips, some kinds of black color Samsung chips etc.. 

2. How to choice Samsung toner chip:

Different version toner chips used for different region., As usual, there are two kinds version: EXP/ EUR/ CN/ KOREA. But Samsung mlt-d101 toner chips also have MEA version, besides EXP/ EUR/ CN/ KOREA.. You should know what version you need, then buy the correct chips. The Samsung chips not-working if choice wrong version chips and the printer machine will show error:  “invalid toner” or “ not compatible toner cartridge”.


3. If you don’t know your version, how to choice Samsung toner chip:


There is a kind Samsung toner chips, it is the muliti-region toner chips (like photo). There are four version in this chips (EXP/ EUR/ CN/ KOREA).  After you get Samsung toner chips, but this Samsung toner chips not working… At this time, you can start to switch version for Samsung toner chips.



4. How to switch Samsung toner chip (muliti-region):

  As I said before, if you want to switch version, the precondition is : this chips muliti-region Samsung toner chips.  Switch toner chips as follows:
  A: if the chips not working and the printer machine show “ invalid toner”;
  B: please take out of toner cartridge and insert again (chips version will be switched to the second version.)
  C: try it work or not.. if work, it is ok.. but if still not working.
  D: please take out of toner cartridge and insert again (this time the chips version be switched to the third version)
  E: try it work or not.. if work, it is ok.. but if still not working.
  F: please take out of toner cartridge and insert again (this time the chips version be switched to the fourth version)

 1. What is an OPC drum?

OPC standards for Organic Photo Conductor Drum. The OPC drum is a long piece of 
metal with a cylinder shape and a delicate outer coat, typically green, blue or red. These drums can be found in many laser printers and copier. 

2. How to care for OPC drum?

OPC drums are very easy to damage. Do not touch it with your fingers or expose it to bright lights. Suggestion is:  

you purchase a replacement rather than clean it yourself. If you choose to try cleaning it, do so in a dimly lit, temperate area and do not use oils or other cleaning products.  When OPC drum starts to get worn, prints will be lighter. If it is damaged with a scratch, for instance, printed pages will start having black marks on them.

1. How Toner Chip Work?

Toner chip read levels by monitoring your cartridge’s droplet count, or the number or ink droplets that have been used so far when printing. Chips are programmed for specific toner designs and will provide warnings and stop printing once a certain number of droplets have been used. Unfortunately, this means that cartridges you refill may still have ink in them if the chip isn’t reset and told that a cartridge was refilled.

2. Reset or Replace a Chip

Depending on your printer model, smart chips in your toner cartridge may or may not be able to be reset. Some chips store toner levels permanently in memory and don’t allow this memory to be accessed. If this type of chip is in your toner, you will need to replace the chip when refilling your cartridge. Other chips can be reset with a “resetter,” a small plastic tool that physically connects with the cartridge chip and tells the chip to return its count of spent droplets to zero.
